Magikast is committed to protecting the safety, privacy, and wellbeing of children. This Child Safety Policy explains how we design, operate, and safeguard our service when creating personalised storybooks for children.
Magikast is operated by Baby Design Ltd., trading as Magikast.
1. Who Magikast Is For
Magikast is designed to be used by adults only, including parents, guardians, family members, and friends.
Children do not create accounts, provide consent, or interact directly with the Magikast platform.
All accounts, purchases, and content creation are controlled by adults who confirm they are at least 18 years old.
2. Children's Information We Use
To create personalised stories, adults may provide limited information about a child, such as:
- First name only
- Age
- Descriptions of appearance (for illustration purposes)
- Interests, themes, and values
This information is provided voluntarily by an adult and used solely for story creation and fulfilment. Magikast does not currently allow the upload of photographs of children. If this feature is introduced in the future, additional safeguards and clear consent mechanisms will apply.
3. How Children's Information Is Used
Children's information is used only to:
- Generate personalised story content and illustrations
- Deliver digital and printed storybooks
- Support customer accounts and fulfil orders
Children's information is not used for profiling, behavioural advertising, or direct marketing.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
4. Content Safety and Appropriateness
All Magikast stories are designed to be:
- Age-appropriate
- Inclusive and gender-neutral
- Free from explicit, violent, or harmful material
Stories focus on gentle themes such as kindness, curiosity, confidence, empathy, and imagination.
We actively prevent the creation of content that is offensive, unsafe, or inappropriate for children.
5. AI and Content Generation Safeguards
Magikast uses automated tools to generate stories and illustrations based on adult-provided input.
Safeguards are in place to:
- Limit the type of information that can be used
- Reduce the risk of inappropriate outputs
- Ensure content remains suitable for children
Generated stories and artwork are stored only within customer accounts and are not made public.
Personalised children's content is not used to train public or third-party AI models.
6. Marketing and Advertising
Magikast does not market directly to children.
All marketing, communications, and advertising are directed at adults.
Children's information is not used for advertising or promotional targeting.
7. Parental Control and Oversight
Adults who create Magikast accounts have full control over:
- What information is provided about a child
- Story creation and edits prior to checkout
- Account access, management, and deletion
Requests relating to a child's information will only be processed when made by the verified account holder.
8. Data Protection and Retention
Children's information is stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Magikast service
- Fulfil legal and operational obligations
Adults may request deletion of their account and associated child information at any time.
9. Third-Party Services
Magikast works with trusted third-party service providers to support hosting, content generation, communications, and fulfilment. These providers are required to handle information responsibly and only for the purposes of providing their services.
